OUR STORY
Resilience, reach, and the ability to thrive in challenging environments.
What's In A Name?
Our firm’s name is inspired by the Bearded Fig Tree (Ficus citrifolia), a symbol deeply connected to Barbados – the homeland of our Founder and CEO.
When Portuguese explorers first arrived on the island, they called it Los Barbudos, meaning “the bearded ones,” after the fig trees whose long aerial roots defined the landscape. Those trees thrived by anchoring themselves deeply while extending outward – adapting, growing, and enduring over time.
That image reflects how we approach our work.
Healthcare organizations operate in complex environments shaped by regulation, risk, and constant change. We believe meaningful progress happens when organizations are grounded in purpose, supported by strong governance, and guided by practical, disciplined leadership.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: help organizations move forward with clarity, resilience, and confidence – without losing sight of the people and communities they serve.
